MS Global Impact

Success That Reaches Further Than the Balance Sheet

Building companies is only half of it. Through MS Global Impact we commit a fixed share of what we own, what we make and the hours we work to causes that outlast any one venture.

Impact written into the model, not bolted on after

Most firms treat giving as something that happens once the returns are in. We set ours as a fixed commitment from the start, so it scales with the business rather than competing with it.

Across the portfolio we encourage every company to take part — not by writing a cheque, but by turning up. The results below came from people in the water, on the sand, and in the sorting yard.

The Commitment

The 1:1:1 Model

Three fixed commitments, set at the outset so they scale with the firm rather than depending on how any single year goes.

1%Of Our Equity

A share of the firm itself is committed to charitable causes, so the giving grows as the portfolio does.

1%Of Our Product

The technology and services we build in-house are made available to the organisations we support.

1%Of Employee Time

Paid hours for our teams and portfolio companies to work on the initiatives themselves.

Where It Goes

Two Initiatives

Ocean Prosperity

Direct action on marine pollution — underwater and coastal cleanups run with divers, volunteers and local partners, focused on the reef systems where debris does the most damage.
